Great gifts!!

I started a new collection of beaded necklaces with pendants for the holidays.
These would make great gifts for friends, daughters, nieces,etc. I made them
to be worn grouped together two or three at a time, but also cute alone.

Last week, I channeled my inner Martha Stewart. The kids and I glittered some pumpkins for Halloween.
I, of course, was completely engrossed in the project. My
kids,not so much.


They don't show up so well due to my limited photography skills,
but they are actually quite cute. This is really a good kid craft, it's
messy, they can do it on their own, that is if you have kids who are
into it. Mine were half and half, one couldn't be done quick enough,
the other lasted a little longer.
Oh well, once again, at least I tried!

Well, my kitchen is now almost back together, so it is time to get busy! This week I have to concentrate
on finishing a design job I have been working on, seeing as how I can actually get paid for this. So, I
thought until I can start on something new I will post the clutches I have been working on.
I have quite a collection of fabric from different
things, so this is what I decided to do with it.

So, this is the current state of my kitchen. Oh, what a difference a wall makes( or the lack of a wall)! And,
it really hasn't been too much of a hassle. I know, shocking!
Looks like we should be throught next week, and then I
have to really get busy. I am already panicking just thinking
about it. My oh so talented friend and I are planning a
home Christmas show in mid November, which means I have
about a month! I still can't decide what to focus on. The jewelry
usually does well, but I have started these extra long clutches
that are pretty cute. Look for them in my next post!

Spent Saturday night camping with my family and a ton of cub scouts.
I am not the best camper, but I took one for the team and we had a great time.
We were at a place called Dismals Canyon in North Alabama,
I didn't know what to expect but it was actually really beautiful. I took this pic on our hike on Sunday.
Having some work done on my kitchen this week so I don't
know how much crafting I will be able to do, but I have
some ideas. We'll see...

I made this necklace yesterday. The pendant is made out of a piece of metal
that my husband found at work with a button glued in the middle.

Hi! Welcome to my blog. This is day one, so we'll see how it goes. I have been home sick this week so it seemed like a perfect time to finally start this blog that I have been talking about doing for months. I'm sure my friends will be glad to see that I have finally done it so I will shut up about it. Since I have had some extra time on my hands this week, and have been forced to stay indoors, I have had an extra flow of creative energy. For some reason this has come out in the form of jewelry. I always seem to take things in spells and I haven't made any jewelry in months, so I guess it was just time.
